Learn about the heroic journey of Minh Dang, a survivor of child abuse and child trafficking. Minh's story will illuminate the invisibility of incest and its relationship with child trafficking, the deep impact of trauma, and strategies for healing. In this webinar, Minh will (1) Share her framework for understanding child trafficking (2) Discuss the psychological impacts of trauma, and (3) Introduce a model for healing known as ASCA, Adult Survivors of Childhood Abuse. ASCA is a low-cost, self-help peer support group for survivors of physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect. ASCA is designed for people who experienced a discrepancy between what they needed as children and what they received as parenting. The structure of the meetings integrates current neuropsychological research in healing trauma as well as successful strategies learned from 12-Step groups.
