Activities:
WAO is an NGO, established in 1982, that provides shelter, counseling and assistance to women victims of violence and their children. They also provide shelter and counseling to foreign domestic workers who have been abused, victims or domestic violence and/or victims of trafficking. The counseling is either by telephone or face to face.

WAO is also involved with public education to create awareness of Violence Against Women and women's rights, and does advocacy on legal reform in particular policies and laws that discriminate against women.
