Welcome to Freedom Connect Web Community!
Freedom Connect is a web community and online resource/networking space for activists fighting human trafficking and modern-day slavery globally. We're using a groupsite, which is web-based social networking tools that empowers people to come together and make things happen. It combines the most useful features of traditional websites, blogs, collaboration software and social networks. It is much like a "Facebook" for us!
This site is a public meeting place that provides members of Survivors Connect with a shared calendar, discussion forums, member profiles, photo gallery, resource library, subgroups and more.
Here are all the great functions of our site:
- Discussion Forum: If you’re one of our MAP users, or have been involved with the QUILT project, join our subgroups and discussion forums to post questions and engage in the dialogue
- Member Profiles: Meet other abolitionists in your town and abroad! Create a profile listing what you do, your objectives and needs.
- Photo Gallery: Check out images of the QUILT, and other anti-trafficking activities. Anyone can post!
- Resource Library: Hundreds of documents live here to support your research, activism and more! This includes tips sheets on how to identify victims, how to work with survivors, best practice and how-to guides, latest research from many countries around the world and much more.
- Subgroups: There are topic-specific groups such as service providers, survivor support networks etc. Some of these are member-invitation only while other subgroups are public. Feel free to browse!
See who around the world is joining us now! We encourage you to join and participate!
